Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials.
Career Information: To generate resumes, we collect information you voluntarily provide including work experience, education, skills, and other professional details you add to your career database.
Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor (Polar/Stripe). We do not store your credit card details on our servers.
Usage Data: We collect anonymous analytics data including pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns to improve our service.
The Cvgo AI browser extension helps you tailor a resume to a job posting and fill in application forms — job applications, and any other form you complete with the details in your career database, such as scholarship, grant, internship or programme applications. What it does with page data:
Postings and descriptions you choose to use: When you click "Pull from page," the extension reads the text of the posting in your active tab — a job listing, scholarship description or similar — and sends it to our servers so the AI can tailor your resume or cover letter to that opportunity.
Application form fields: When you start an autofill, the extension reads the structure of the form in your active tab — field labels, types and options, not values you have already typed — and sends it to our servers to work out which of your saved career details belong in which field. This works on any form you choose to fill, not only job applications; the extension only ever fills it with data you have already stored in your career database.
Answers you choose to save: If you save an answer for reuse, it is stored in your career database so later applications can be filled faster. You can view and delete these at any time from your dashboard.
What we do not do: The extension does not read pages in the background, does not monitor your browsing, and does not collect page data unless you actively start a resume, cover letter or autofill action. It does not read passwords, payment details, or pages other than the tab you are working in. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Generated resumes and posting data are held in your browser's session storage and are cleared when you quit the browser.
We use your information to:
Provide and maintain our resume generation service; process your transactions; send you important service updates; improve our product based on usage patterns; and respond to your support requests.
Your career information and job descriptions are processed by third-party AI language models to generate tailored resumes. This data is sent to AI providers (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) solely for the purpose of generating your resume. We do not use your personal career data to train AI models.
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Your career database and generated resumes are stored in our database and are accessible only to your account. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with: payment processors to handle transactions; AI service providers to generate resumes; and analytics services to improve our product (anonymized data only).
We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication. We use analytics cookies (Umami) to understand how our service is used. Umami is a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not collect personally identifiable information.
You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; delete your account and all associated data; export your career data; and withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all associated personal data within 30 days. Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
